Many Ways to Give to the Library
The Friends of the Rosendale Library are grateful to the many library supporters who respond to our annual August mailing with many generous contributions. Through your continuing donations you have shown your belief in the value of the library to the community and its power to improve the lives of so many.
The Friends of the Rosendale Library (FRL) welcome gifts of books, as well as monetary donations. The all volunteer FRL is a not-for–profit 501 c3, registered as a charitable organization in New York State. As such, all donations to the FRL are tax deductible in accordance with all regulations imposed by the IRS.
The Friends are especially grateful to library supporters and their families and friends who have designated the library as the recipient of memorial gifts. A gift to the library is a meaningful way to memorialize someone special to you.
If you would like to provide for the Rosendale Library’s future, a planned gift is an ideal way to leave a legacy that will help support the library and may provide tax benefits for your family. There are several easy ways to make a planned gift.
Make a gift to the Rosendale Library in your will using this language:
I [name], of [city, state, zip], devise and bequeath to the Friends of the Rosendale Library [written amount or percentage of the estate] for its unrestricted use and purpose.
You can also provide that a residue, or a portion of the residue, be gifted to the library from what is left after all other gifts to loved ones have been fulfilled.
Proceeds from your existing retirement plan can be designated to be donated to the library at the time of your death.
The Rosendale Library can be named as a beneficiary or partial beneficiary of life insurance policies not needed for your family’s protection.
Questions related to planned giving are best directed to your financial advisor.
Volunteer Your Time
Last, but not least, you can give to the library, and your community, by volunteering to become a Trustee or Friend of the Rosendale Library.
